Common questions

My ticket email never arrived

Your ticket exists whether or not the email did. Sign in and open My tickets — the QR code there is what the gate scans. Check your spam folder too.

I paid but no ticket appeared

Payment confirmation comes from the payment provider rather than your browser, so closing the tab does not lose your ticket. It normally appears within a minute. If it has not, write to us with the payment reference from your bank or UPI app.

I need a refund

Refunds are issued by the organiser who sold you the ticket, not by Evento — here is how that works, including what to do if an organiser will not respond.

The scanner will not open the camera

Camera access needs a secure connection and permission from the browser. Check that you allowed camera access when prompted, and that you are on the https link. On iPhone, use Safari or Chrome rather than an in-app browser.

My event will not publish

If your event has a paid ticket type, your payout account has to be verified first — that guard stops you selling tickets we could not pay you for. Free events publish without it.

I want my account and data deleted

Write to us and we will do it, subject to records we are legally required to keep. Your rights are set out in the privacy policy.

Grievance Officer

Appointed under the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020. Use this route for complaints about content, an organiser, a refund dispute, or how we have handled your data.

What we commit to

  • 24 hours
    to acknowledge your complaint
  • 15 days
    to resolve it and tell you the outcome
  • 30 days
    to answer a data access or deletion request

These are the shorter of the timelines the two applicable sets of rules allow, so we meet both. Include as much detail as you can — event name, ticket code, payment reference, and what you have already tried.

If we have not resolved it

You are not stuck with our answer. If you are unsatisfied with how we handled a complaint, you can escalate to:

  • the Grievance Appellate Committee established under the Information Technology Rules, 2021, for content and intermediary complaints;
  • the National Consumer Helpline or the appropriate consumer commission, for consumer disputes;
  • the Data Protection Board of India, for complaints about personal data;
  • Razorpay's own grievance channel, for problems with a payment or refund transaction itself.
